My tools

Upon waking up this morning I decided to take my starting weight, 179.6 lbs. Not too bad, my "goal weight" is 140 lbs. I use quotations because my weight really isn't my main focus, it just a means to an end. I want to look healthy, lean and muscular.  So if my body looks toned and kick ass at 150lbs, I won't be crying about it!
One of my main struggles the past 6 months in wanting to look and feel better is knowing that a low calorie and active lifestyle would get me there, but dreading eating bland tasting, overly processed low calorie foods. So, fingers crossed here, I've decided to blend together clean eating, raw eating and real eating in hopes that actually feeding my body things it loves and enjoys will result in my being less hungry all the time and more full after meals. Veggies, Fruits and Lean meats...here I come!
So on my shopping trip today I looked for real, unprocessed and raw foods to fill my cart. We are on a pretty tight budget with saving for the wedding and all that fun stuff so I hit up 3 different stores to get the best deals. I guess for the time being we will work to achieve 75% clean/raw and 25% everything else.

Our Local Health food store
Veganaise
Chia Seeds
Apple Cider Vinegar
Quinoa

99 Cent store (my secret weapon)
Various tomatoes (grape & heirloom)
Greek yogurt (79cents each what????)
eggs
a few different canned goods

Raley's
2 Whole chickens ( 89 cents a lbs OMG)
Produce
Fancy Chesse
Sanwhich thins
Soy Milk
Fresh flowers to brighten my days

Now this isn't a complete list of course, but who cares about my shopping list really?

So apart from diet I'll share my other tools in this get fit journey!
My work out accountability calendar. I am hoping to do 2 workouts each day, AM & PM. My Jillian Michael's  DVDs (yoga, abs, and get ripped in 30), my weights and my running shoes!
And of course my biggest inspiration, looking awesome on my wedding day! Oh, PS we're getting hitched in Disneyland!

My hopes are to work out 6 days a week, I mean why not, it makes me feel amazing whenever I do, even though it means getting off my comfy couch.

Weight: 179.6
Pant Size: 14
Shirt Size: L-XL
And I thought I had a measuring tape for inches but....I don't!

I am not ready just yet to post my before photos, just a little too reveling, but below is a pic of me from 2 or 3 years ago and a recent photo. You can see how much my face has filled out and hopefully that will change soon! I would say in the past 3 years I've gained 40 lbs.
